Do it yourself - Cheese Platter

The New Year is around the corner and we tend to have unexpected guests arriving at our doorstep.
Here’s a quick and easy cheese platter you can knock up in minutes.

It would be convenient if you live near a good deli, but hey Woolworths now carry a large selection of cheeses which goes perfect to your cheese platter.

Here are some tips:

# One must buy a decent cheeseboard, I grabbed mine from Domayne online - you should check out their range of homewares !
# Say cheese - minimum 3 cheeses per platter (Woolworths do sell a cheesebox designed for both red & white wine) - Don’t be boring! Try new cheeses!!
# Get the temperature right – always serve your cheese platter at room temperature (especially brie and camembert)
# Get cracking– water crackers, wafer thins and mini loaf breads
# Add a splash of colour – Mix in some fruit and nuts
# Spread the love  – honey, jams and pate do the trick!
# Arrange accordingly – (I used little tealight holders to hold the walnuts and apple).
# Drink up - Don’t forget to grab a few bottles of wine!!!
# Enjoy – good cheese, good wine, good company; my life is complete.

I'll pass on the donkey cheese! Yes, there's nothing better than a well put together cheese platter. A cheese platter is always a favourite of mine at the end of a meal xx
